iPhone manga...surprisingly unsatisfying.

Downloaded OZ the Manga from iTunes App Store and on first glance can report I'm not overly impressed.
I'm new to manga so everything I say us suspect, but one of the key elements of printed dead-tree versions of manga and comics in general is the full 2-page spread of illustration that your eye takes in at a time. The reader can get a broad sense of what the action sequence about to occur is like.
On the iPhone, that scope is eliminated. Instead, you flick through one panel at a time. It really kills a lot of how manga works its magic on the page when it's reduced to a one-panel-at-a-time flop book.
Maybe the iPhone will grow as a manga delivery mechanism. But I don't see how it can do so in its present form.
Vote tomorrow.
