A surprise gift I found this summer … The 5-minute ride home from the Rec Center post run. It doesn’t matter whether it was my best run or my worst, driving home down Hillsboro, past my old high school, past Reid’s Nursery, through 5 Points and down Lewisburg with all the windows down is an unsought moment. And it’s all the sweeter for it.

Not mine.  Found browsing the landscape tag in Tumblr.

I’m a little intimidated by the challenge of the upcoming New Mexico trip.  The instructor for the course encouraged us to make a study of B/W photographers whose work inspires us, which only serves to make me realize I know the work of so few photographers.

Work that inspires me?  Hell, at this point in my growth as a photographer, I’m inspired by anyone who manages to expose correctly.

Re-Post because IR is cool… DC photos to resume later today!

Waiting for the cab to arrive to transport the assembly to the boat livery and begin their excursion up the Thames.  From Three Men in a Boat (To Say Nothing of The Dog) by Jerome K Jerome, 1889.

This is the funniest book I have read in quite a while.
